emergency support fund

The Emergency Support Fund (ESF) was set up by the International Women’s Club of Bratislava to enable a portion of the 2020 charity budget to be diverted to organisations in immediate need, specifically due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So far in 2020 we have donated 7250 € to charities specially applying for the ESF. It is specifically designed to help not-for-profit organisations to purchase essential items necessitated by the pandemic, such as masks, gloves, disinfectant equipment, and materials to help organisations adapt their service and continue to serve the public.

These photos were sent in from Gaštanový koník, one of the recipients of and Emergency Support Fund grant.

One of the organisations supported through the Emergency Support Fund was Dakujeme who we provided food parcels to for 10 families living in poverty.

We received a lovely thank you note from DePaul Slovensko who also received a donation from the Food Bank.

clothing donations

We received a request from Depaul Slovensko for donations of unwanted good quality clothes. We were amazed at the amount of donations we collected, both from our members and also the parents and staff of the British International School Bratislava. Thanks to al!

FACE MASK APPEAL

Our recent Mask Appeal for one of our members who runs a Senior Centrum Bratislava hospice demonstrates how much we achieve when we work together. She asked if we could collect masks for her residents and staff. Our wonderful members donated a total of 220 €, 24 washable and 50 disposable face masks.
