CHRISTMAS CHARITY FUNDRAISING SUCCESS
Thanks to the generosity of the public we were able to raise a fantastic 11.696,61€ during our Christmas Fundraising Campaign. As our major annual fundraiser - the Charity Christmas Bazaar - was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic, we decided to move our fundraising online via the Online Charity Auction. Like the annual Bazaar, the auction was supported by the diplomatic community and a variety of corporate and International School sponsors who provided financial support.
Also many thanks to the following businesses and International Schools who provided sponsorhip or fundraised on our behalf.
The auction was officially opened by his Excellency Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok on 23 November and ran for 7 days. Individuals were able to bid on items donated by Embassies and Regional Offices from around the world including: Indonesia, the Netherlands, Turkey, Israel, China, India, Brazil, the Czech Republic, Republc of Kazakhstan, United Kingdom, Japan, Taipei, France and Germany. It was a great opportunity to purchase unique and unusual gifts in time for Christmas.
In addition, Ecole Francaise International Bratislava, QSI International School of Bratislava, British International School of Bratislava and the Cambridge International School ran fundraising campaigns on behalf of the IWCB through their communities.
Mr Korčok announced the fundraising grand total on his Facebook page thanking all participants of the event for their contribution.
Our fundraising activities were only possible with the ever generous support of many partners and sponsors.
